I Am Not Afraid

As some of you know, my husband, Neil Dover is the musician that wrote and performed the song Little Lamb* that plays on the map page of sidhe-seersinc.com. He recently finished two more songs for The Fever World, one of which I'm posting here. (The other you'll see soon, in Mac vs. the Shades, which I hope to blog about in the next few days.)

In the meantime, here's I Am Not Afraid*, a song that I feel captures Mac's anger, grief and determination to survive brilliantly. Hope you all love it as much as I do!

I Am Not Afraid
by Neil Dover
inspired by KMM's FEVER series

Wow, Neil's voice is amazing. I closed my eyes and could see Mac in the rain soaked streets while he sang. I could see a Fever CD being released with the last Fever book. Please? :)

Oh Karen, this is so beautiful. I love the piano and other instrumentals to it. I adore the conflict within the song. I agree with you when you say it captures Mac very well.

I can't wait to hear the other songs that you're planning on sharing with us. Thanks so much!

Wow, this is amazing. The production on this is great and it's so different from "Little Lamb" cheers on the range, Neil!

Thanks Karen & Neil! (and likely Leiha too :)

There is so much emotion in this song. I was expecting something along the lines of Little Lamb, readying myself for something with a little more edge, but instead got soothed, felt sad and so in sync with what Mac is likely still feeling. I like the "I am not afraid / I am afraid" conflict. Fits so well with Mac.

Such a beautiful song. Neil has an amazing voice. The song is awesome. Neil is extraordinarily talented in his own right. What are the odds of two phenomenally talented people meeting, marrying and enhancing each other's work? Excellent! I have the song on repeat and that should help me be super productive today, right?

sadgirl1980 - the song is embedded into Karen's post, it should load & automatically play when it is done.

I am not afraid

If it doesn't work you probably need to update your media player, which you can do by going to microsoft or mac's home page, depending on which operating system you run.
